Rules and Regulations

General:

1. Absence on the reopening day as well as on the last day of each term, is not allowed.
2. Students will not be permitted to go home between school hours.
3. Parents are requested to read and follow the rules. In token of it they should sign in the place provided for parents Signature.
4. The diary should be brought to school daily.
5. a). Pupils must report to school at 8.25 a.m. Late Comers will be Considered absent for half-a-day.
b). A student coming late to school for the first and second time will be allowed only with a warning and the same will be notified to the parent through the diary. When the student comes late for the third time the parent will be called to take the student home. Habitual late comers will be discharged from the school.
6. The School Uniform must be worn on all school days and for school functions. Sports uniform should be worn on Mondays. Pupils with incomplete uniform will not be allowed in class. Pupils should be clean and tidy in their person, dress and belongings.
7.Jewellery must not be worn to school. Exchange of money or other transactions are not allowed between students.
8. Pupils are responsible for the safety of their own belongings. School cannot assume any responsibility for the loss of the pupil's belongings.
9. Writing or scribbling on walls, dirtying the class room or damaging any school property is forbidden. Articles damaged by children must be paid for if required at the discretion of the Principal/Headmistress.
10. No private tuition by school staff will be permitted.
11. No pupil suffering from contagious or infectious disease shall be allowed to attend school.
12. Every pupil must take part in the school games and other activities unless physically unfit or exempted by the principal.
13. Collection of pupils for any purpose require prior sanction from the principal.
14. Parents are requested NOT to give any money to their children , except on written request from the school. Children are not allowed to purchase any article
15. To ensure uniformity, all Note-Books are to be purchased from the school.
16. A record of the addresses of the parents or guardians is maintained in the school office. Any change of address should be communicated without delay.
17. English is encouraged to be spoken in the school premises to acquire greater ease in the study of the language.
18. Politeness and courtesy of speech and good conduct are expected from the pupil.
19. Every pupil is expected to contribute to the high moral and spiritual standards set for the school by his / her manner and conduct.
20. Parents and guardians are requested to see that boys come to school with their hair properly cut. No boy with long hair will be allowed in the class, similarly colouring the hair by the students is strictly prohibited. Girls should have their hair in two plaits.
21. The school reserves the right to dismiss a pupil on grounds of irregular attendance, habitual lack of application, disobedience to teachers or any kind of malpractice, objectionable behavior inside the premises or elsewhere.
22. No arrangement will be made for holding special examinations for absentees, before or after the time fixed for the examinations.
23. Pupils absent for examination without genuine reasons will be considered as failed.
24. Parents may meet the Principal/Headmistress for any information or for making any complaints. No complaints should be made direct to the class teacher.
25. A Suggestion Box is kept outside the office room of the school. Parents may feel free to offer their suggestions for the improvement of the school and academic standard.
26. Cellular phones are not allowed inside the school premises.
27. Students should be disciplined while attending outside classes.
28. Whitener should not be brought to school.
29. If any student is found copying in any examination, he will be awarded only a 'zero' in that particular Subject / Paper. If the student repeats the same the next time he / she will be issued T. C. and sent out from the school.

All rules and regulations are subject to any modification if found necessary in the interest of the school.

ISSUE OF T. C:

Transfer Certificate will be issued only on the production of a written application from the parent or guardian.
Transfer Certificates will be issued only to those who have fully settled all dues.
Pupil leaving the school in the middle of the terms must pay the fees for the full term.
At the time of leaving school every student is expected to enroll himself / herself as a Life Member of the Alumni Association by paying Rs.50/-
Tuition fees for one term is payable for issuing a Transfer Certificate against an application received after 30th of April every year. T. C. will be issued only after submission of a 'No Dues' certificate to the office.
Application for T. C should be made atleast 3 days prior to the date of requirement of T. C.
ISSUES OF CONCESSION FORMS:

Application for issue of forms for rail / air travel is to be made at least 75 hours in advance with full particulars only during summer vacation till 30th of April every year.

Library

Pupils may borrow books from the library. They should return them within the prescribed time.
If a book is misplaced or damaged, the pupil will have to pay the cost or replace the book.
A second book will not be given unless the first one is returned.
A fine will be levied if the book is returned late.
Pupils should maintain a record of the extra reading done by them in the pages allotted for the purpose in their diaries.
ATTENDANCE:

Parents should see their wards do not absent themselves from school except under unavoidable circumstances.
The pupil is should be in the school premises before the first bell.
If a pupil is expected to be absent from school, application for leave must be made in the prescribed column in the diary and prior sanction is obtained.
In case of absence due to sickness, a medical certificate must be sent to the school and the same be recorded in the diary.
A minimum of 90% attendance is a must for promotion to higher classes.
EXAMINATION AND REPORTS:

The school will conduct three sets of examinations Assignment Tests/ Mid-term tests / Terminal tests. Scholastic and non-Scholastic achievements will be assessed periodically for all classes.
Progress reports will be issued on Open Day. Parents should come and sign the report card on that day. Parents may discuss the progress of their children with the principal after fixing up a prior appointment. Report Cards will not be handed over to the Child.
PROMOTION:

A Pupil is promoted to the higher class on the basis of his/her performance during the whole year. Regularity in attendance and studies is imperative. To secure a promotion, a student must obtain a minimum 35% on an average in every subject in the primary section along with the minimum 90% of attendance mentioned earlier.
Results declared at the end of the year is final and will not be reconsidered under any circumstances.

A pupil whose conduct is not up to the school standard shall be asked to leave the school. A pupil who fails twice in the same class shall not be allowed to continue his / her studies in the school.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION:

All pupils are obliged to undergo Medical Examination by the school and Medical reports will be sent to parents for follow-up action. Parents are requested to co-operate with the school for effective follow up treatment.

WORK-EXPERIENCE:

Work Experience forms a compulsory part of the school curriculum. The students are offered the following range of subjects.

Apart from the Essential Area prescribed by the C. B. S. E. as a compulsory part of the work experience students are also offered the following range of subjects as electives.

Computer Awareness Programme. This is compulsory for all students from std. IV to X.
An extra fee is charged towards the same.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

Co-Curricular activities are conducted once a week class-wise. These activities include literary activities in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Sanskrit, Dramatics, celebration of festivals and music contests.

MAGAZINES:

The school brings out a Magazine and News Bulletins, All students are encouraged to contribute articles, essays, puzzles, jokes etc.. towards it.
